Warren Ellis
Warren Ellis is a co-owner of Ellis & Ellis. Warren is a seasoned trial attorney. His practice focuses on both criminal defense trials and trials of serious personal injury cases. Warren also represents individuals and companies in employment law and other civil matters.
Warren Ellis earned his bachelor’s degree in English from James Madison University, graduating magna cum laude in 2004. He went on to complete law school at the University of Richmond School of Law, graduating cum laude in 2007. While in law school, Warren served as Lead Articles Editor of the Richmond Journal of Law and the Public Interest and was honored as a member of the Moot Court Competition Board. Warren also assisted Dean Rodney Smolla in drafting an amici brief to the United States Supreme Court on a first amendment case regarding lawyer advertising.
After graduation from law school, Warren Ellis undertook a one year judicial clerkship to the Honorable A. Bonwill Shockley, Honorable Stephen C. Mahan, and the Honorable A. Joseph Canada, Jr. Following his clerkship, he served as Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney for Henrico, Virginia. While working as a prosecutor, Warren undertook and successfully prosecuted a number of high profile felony cases including sex crimes, homicides, and financial crimes. Warren also served as an instructor on asset forfeiture procedures for the Henrico County Police Academy.
For nine years, Warren Ellis worked as a partner for Munoz~Munoz & Ellis. In this time he handled numerous jury trials on both the civil and criminal side. He has also achieved successful results on a number of high profile personal injury cases, including cases against the city of San Bernardino and County of Los Angeles.
Warren works closely with his wife, Crystal Ellis, and other members of the team in order to ensure client receive the attention and care to their case that they deserve. In his free time, Mr. Ellis enjoys scuba diving and hiking and exploring the numerous state and national parks across this great country with his wife and daughter.
